                                                                    lighter areas of the game board
                                                                    and the pillow and blankets
                                                                    that the kids were sitting on
                                                                    needed to be pushed back and
                                                                    subdued because they were
                                                                    demanding too much attention.
                                                                    The lower pillow needed to be
                                                                    cooled down (alizarin instead
                                                                    of orange) and contoured. You
                                                                    might note that some of the
                                                                    game pieces (a tiny thimble,
                                                                    Scotty dog, and iron) are very
                                                                    realistically rendered with a
                                                                    very tiny brush in contrast to
                                                                    the rest of the painting.
