                                                                For over thirty years Colin has been painting in
                                                                a style that was inspired by the London School
                                                                of painters. His love of nature manifests itself in
                                                                early work and his passion for walking in remote
                                                                mountain areas. However, Colin also has a
                                                                knack of painting the urban lansdcape too.


                                                                One commission enabled him to observe
                                                                Manchester from a helicopter which helped him
                                                                produce a bank of work on a high rise office
                                                                building in the centre of the City. Recently he
                                                                has been working on other projects like the
                                                                paintings he created of the inside of the famous
                                                                Royal Exchange theatre.


                                                                Here we see Colin’s style with quick wash, pen
                                                                and ink work, these will become eventually fully
                                                                worked up paintings, which I look look forward to
                                                                viewing in the not to distant future.
