This is a view from Aegean Sea coastline. The sky is copper. There was no sandy beach in the original. I placed the beach and the rocks up front.

once I spread it because the final state of the
painting is in my mind and I, myself, am
there, in the picture as well.
I use only five oil paint colors in my
paintings: titanium white, lamp black,
cadmium yellow pale hue, cadmium red deep
hue, and phthalo blue. I have never bought
any other oil paint. I get all other necessary
colors from the mixture of those colors. This is
very important, for each color I spread on the
canvas is mine. I know light and dark tones
of the color of every object I see or imagine
very well and I know how I can get the right
color with right amount to mix. This is an
advantage of using five colors only.

Here is a sunset from Istanbul, the city I live in. And
below it, I imagined a wavy sea and painted it.
