a multilayered approach? These are
all personal choices and will
contribute to the style and mood
of the painting, which will make it
distinctly your own.
Good principles of painting
technique are essential for lasting
works but it is often the inspiration
and mood of the artist that creates
the final magic.
At the moment my inspiration
comes from finding beauty in a
subject we often may miss in our
busy lives, such as our model putting
on her shoes at the end of a session,
the food that Italy treasures or the
people in the piazzas of Florence.
There is a universality and a diversity
expressed in these images that I feel
has the possibility of connecting with
many and an exploration of the
pleasures to be found in the simple
things in life.
