Having known Kate’s work for some time it came as an absolute
pleasant surprise to find her wonderful drawings submitted to the
Manchester 2020. Kate and I know each other and late last year I wrote
to her to ask if she may consider a collaborative project. It stemmed from

my own habit of writing poems to paintings, something I have done since
I was a child. The series she began to create some time ago was,
I believed, to be some of her best wor and in fact inspired me to write
a poem which I sent her via Facebook. The new project was born.

I am now very pleased to advise that ‘project’ is now agreed - so we both
look forward to publishing and with any luck, in early 2022, just in time
for the Manchester Vision 2022 exhibition in the City Centre.
