artist: Jo York
Jo York is an exciting artist. She is also quite a good writer on art
too. Her work is fresh, new and totally original. When you see the
work she puts into every piece you begin to appreciate how she can
make such a complexion of form and colour seem so stunningly
simple. Jo has worked continuously as a professional artists and
wrute a regular newsletter to her many admirers of her work.
As a fellow artist and as the curator for the Manchester2020 Vision
exhibitions I am delighted to welcome Jo to the Deansgate Gallery.
The artist offers not only her own art to serious collectors, but
also involves herself with the contemporary art scene by holding
sessions in her studio for fellow artists, established and beginners.
