STAGE 5 THE BACKGROUND
I start filling in the background, warming up the wall as I move closer to the yellowish light source.
I work enough contrast and details on the family photos to match their relevance to the concept.

STAGE 6 REDESIGNING THE SCENE I rarely repeat the same palette from a painting to another.
The Ganesha wall sculpture was in a three-fourths view in the photo. It really depends on what I plan for the painting.
I redesigned a frontal view in charcoal before painting it. Most of the
light coming from the bulb was placed with a palette knife.
