Meabhraíocht - Lessons from A Hedgerow
meabhraíocht, f. (gs. ~a). Consciousness, awareness; thought, intelligence.
"Lessons from a hedgerow" is a metaphor for connecting with the world around us in a grounded, mindful way. The hedgerow, often seen as a natural boundary or a place where life flourishes, represents a space of quiet wisdom and simplicity. The act of being in the present moment, of truly seeing, doing, and creating in the here and now, is at the heart of mindfulness and creativity, this present moment awareness opens us up to the truest inspiration and expression.
’The world is full of magic things patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper’ WB Yeats
The focus of this series aims to give an awareness of ‘a sense of place’, of ‘being’, this process is paramount in the making of the works as nothing can be truly created outside of the present moment.
