artist: Tracey Watt artist: Toluwani Awodiya

Toluwani is a terrific painter. The artist is currently working out of his London
Studio. It would seem odd to many to paint this complex work on a surface that
in essence looks almost like a flock wallpaper, but Toluwani handles it quite
majestically with skill and natural talent.

The base ground of the work seems to be symbols and shapes and patterns that
create a three dimensional effect. The overall effect is quite stunning.
Both works in the Gallery have equal power, one is created 2018 and the other
2020 - these show a standard of consistent output of a very accomplished artist

indeed. I look forward to seeing more in the future
