Tanjja Po

Tanjja Po is an artist based in South London who has been developing her skills professionally by participating
in both UK and international exhibitions. Her most frequently used mediums include acrylic, ink, pastel,
monotype, and oil. Since completing a Performance and Video Installation Directing degree in 2000, she has
also worked extensively with various painting techniques, videos, and multimedia installations.
Her work draws inspiration from observing people during her travels and exploring themes such as religion,
paganism, and shamanic beliefs. It reflects both the real world around her and her research into abstract
concepts like time and memory. She seamlessly transitions between realistic and abstract styles, creating
dynamic and varied expressions in her art. Her evolving style ranges from intricate depictions of figures and
scenery to minimalist shapes and lines that hold a deeper meaning. In addition to her artistic practice, she
teaches art and manages an online store where she sells prints and original works.
