Myriam

                                                    Tillson

Myriam Tillson is a French artist working and living in London, UK. Myriam turned to a career as an artist in 2018,
after a number of years in the film industry following a qualification as a prosthetic make-up artist. Having no
formal academic artistic training, she first started exploring watercolour and gouache, before turning to acrylic
as her primary medium. Her surrealist and absurdist paintings focus on the human form as a metaphor for the
mind, and draw on her personal experience with grief, loss and trauma. Her work is a vessel for expressing and
working through the ubiquitous juxtaposition of beauty and tragedy in life, and learning to balance the
complex make-up of our experiences as sensitive beings. Since becoming a full-time artist, Myriam has had
work exhibited with WOWxWOW, Gallery Beinart, Every Day Original and Gallery Nucleus, and pieces published
in Infected by Art and Out of Steps Books.
