Ollie Tsai
Ollie Tsai is an artist from Taiwan whose work focuses on detailed expressions of emotion through a fantastical
style. With a background in fine arts, Tsai works with various mediums, including sculpture, painting, and
especially printmaking, using texture and layers to tell meaningful stories. Tsai’s art aims to inspire reflection
and a sense of wonder, inviting viewers into imaginative and emotional worlds.
The Lost Star Village is about a self-journey of loss in a forgotten village surrounded by silver grass where
falling stars lived and faced the fate of "wander, disappearance, or perishing. The characters in this picture
book present the various states of being lost and explore their values through conversation, doubting reality,
and talking about beliefs. Following the point of view of each protagonist, offering various endings of the
book.
