Séamus Moran’s work consists of objects
          assembled from component parts often
          juxtaposing seemingly unrelated elements to
make a unifi ed form. Moran has worked a lot using
resin and iron castings of knots from rotted out
trees on which he induces a rusty patina before
combining them with steel, feathers, leather,
brambles etc. His aim is to create extraordinary
objects which are also uncomfortably familiar.

Urban Burka was shortlisted for the Threadneedle
Prize 2013 and shown in the Mall galleries in
London. It’s a comment on the role that designer
clothing plays in defi ning a person’s identity.
SÉAMUS MORAN received a BA (Hons) 3D Design

exhibited in a number of exhibitions across the UK
