Maxine Huang

Maxine Huang is a visual artist specializing in narrative creation, exploring human emotions and existential
experiences through cross-media forms. Maxine’s work challenges traditional storytelling by intertwining time,
space, and text to create complex, layered narratives. Maxine aims to discover new forms of expression in
contemporary visual culture, pushing the boundaries of how stories are told.

This is the actual map tile element of the project "Gudong," created by stitching together various fabrics. The map tiles can be freely combined to present
different scenes. The project is adapted from the traditional Chinese fable "Gudong is Coming." The story follows three little rabbits who, upon hearing the
sound of "gudong" by the river, mistake it for a monster and flee in fear. As they run, they cause all the other small animals they encounter along the way to
join in the escape. However, none of them realize that the "gudong" sound is actually just a papaya falling into the water. In the game, child players are
tasked with discovering the true source of the "Gudong" sound.
