‘’With my artwork, I explore themes about the past, present, and future of humanity. Our relationships with one another and
nature, be that in networks of loving relationships and cooperation, or on the darker side, exploitation and abuse. I am also
deeply interested in the techno-sociological future and especially how the prospect of co-evolution with intelligent
machines and other advanced technology will transform our societies, our spirituality, our biology, and our psychology. In
this context, I seek to achieve a high level of aesthetics, while stimulating deep emotional and intellectual viewer
engagement. Over the years I have developed a wide range of stylistic technical range both in the analog and digital
domains. This enables me to employ a plethora of theme-driven stylistic approaches so that the artistic intent is served by
technical diversity and not compromised by stylistic limitations.
Although I have received substantial training in formal painting methods and quietly and privately practiced and studied art
for 20+ years, my biggest artistic "Aha moment" was when I discovered what the "New digital" medium enabled by AI can
achieve. I have a PhD and a successful university academic career in AI, which combined with my art studies has allowed
me to develop a personal mixed media digital creative process that yields work that brings the richness and tradition of
analog painting to the digital realm, and on equal measure transcends whet the analog mediums can normally achieve.
This process blends and leverages photography, drawing and oil painting, AI, and digital image processing. My work,
consequently, aims to also explore and advance what is possible in the realm of the AI/digital medium building on
antecedent fine art media methods, works, and traditions, toward new possibilities in the pictorial fine arts.’’
